Privacy

Calcuto is built to need as little of your data as possible. There are no user accounts, and no advertising or cross-site tracking.

Stored in your browser only

Your recent calculations and preferences — such as your chosen currency and light or dark theme — are saved in your browser's local storage. This information stays on your device, is never sent to us as personal data, and is removed when you clear your browser data. You can also clear your calculation history at any time from the home page.

When you run a calculation

Running a calculation sends the values you entered to our API so the result can be computed, then returns the result to your browser. We do not link those inputs to your identity.

To protect the service from abuse and stay within provider limits, we keep anonymous request logs. Any IP address is stored only in hashed form — never as a raw address — and is used for rate-limiting, security, and aggregate analytics, not to identify you.

Cookies and local storage

Calcuto does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. The only data kept in your browser is the preferences and history described above, held in local storage.

Third-party services

Some finance calculators convert between currencies using exchange-rate data from a third-party rates provider. Only the currencies involved in a conversion are needed; no personal information is shared with that provider.
